#6 RSS Feeds

Have had a go at understanding RSS feeds. I can only say that it isn't for the faint hearted. At a personal level I can say that I would be highly unlikely to ever use such a thing however from a library perspective I can see that they may have some merit. Would require some tech savvy patrons to really make the most of the feeds.

I found this image while browsing flickr. It was taken in centenary park Bright which is the next valley over from where I grew up.

I chose this photo because Autumn is my favorite time of the year.Not only is it when I celebrate my birthday and my wedding anniversary but it is also the title of my favorite poem "Ode to Autumn" by John Keats.

I love this photo because I think it captures not only the warmth and soft light of the season but also because it reminds me of many happy times growing up in the area.

Have just been browsing the flickr site and I am amazed at the photo's and stories published on it. Does anybody have concerns about privacy or has this new "reality tv" syndrome made us immune to such concerns. I'm not sure that I would ever want to spend hours trawling through the site looking at other people's photo albums but as a way of sharing photo's with friends or family it certainly has its merits.
